While out in California in January for Macworld 2009 I was able to use twitter to setup an interview with Revision3 podcast host Patrick Norton (twitter). It snowballed from being just Patrick Norton to also Revision3 CEO Jim Louderback (twitter), whom I had met at the Diggnation Live Show/Meetup at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, California. This is the same event in which I was recorded in Episode 186 – Live In Los Angeles! as the Palm Centro & Macbook Pro break dancing heckler. As the day came for the interview, Revision3 Producers Roger Chang (twitter) and David Prager (twitter) also joined in to be interviewed on camera for The Plan8 Podcast.

So over the next five video session podcasts The Plan8 Podcast visits Revision3.

On Today’s show:

The Plan8 Podcast host, Patrick Roanhouse (Twitter) interviews Revision3’s Senior Producer, Roger Chang (Twitter)

We discuss:

  • Roger’s Geek past times
  • Life going from Broadcast TV to the Interwebs.
  • The “Democratization” of content production, examples like web show “The Guild” and concepts like citizen journalism.
  • Hosting content and getting the “numbers” for web shows viewer ship for commercialization.
  • Geek TV choices, Battlestar Gallatica to Doctor Who.
  • Comicbooks, Roger tells us why Green Lantern: Ring Wars will be the most epic story arc
  • Current Video Game Addictions
